The Frontier Baseball Team went 3-1 on the week in Mississippi this past weekend, beating Coahoma twice, and Mississippi Delta. Falling short to Hinds CC in Extra Innings. The Bobcat’s offense collected 25 runs over 33 hits, with 12 extra-base hits in the four game set this weekend. The pitching staff for the bobcats kept it competitive punching out 25 batters, and only allowing 14 free bases.
The Bobcats will be back at it, this weekend against Southwest Mississippi CC, and Copiah-Lincoln CC Friday and Saturday February 21st/22nd. First Game on Friday Starts at 2:00 P.M.
Frontier Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Coahoma Community College.
Frontier took the lead late and defeated Coahoma Community College 9-5 on Thursday. The game was tied at five with Frontier batting in the top of the sixth when Ben Scartz (Tarpoon Springs, FL.) singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. Coahoma Community College scored three runs in the fifth inning, but Frontier still managed to pull out the victory. Coahoma Community College scored its runs on a double by #12.
Coahoma Community College took an early lead in the second inning when Andrew Shoultz (Scurry, TX.) induced #21 to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Coahoma Community College knotted the game up at five in the bottom of the fifth inning. Coahoma Community College scored three runs when #12 doubled.
Brendan Reid (Union, KY.) earned the win for Frontier. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over one-third of an inning, walking one. Chaney Trout (poplar Bluff, MO.) threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Chaney Trout recorded the last six outs to earn the save for the Bobcats.
#23 was on the pitcher's mound for Coahoma Community College. He went five and two-thirds innings, allowing nine runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking zero. #8 threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Frontier Defeats Coahoma Community College In A Blow-Out Victory.
Frontier easily did away with Coahoma Community College 10-4 on Thursday. Coahoma Community College opened up scoring in the first inning. #22 hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.
Frontier pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Ben Scartz doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Brody Tisdale (Greenwood, IN.) doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, #25 induced Bradley Taylor to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Cole Rasbury (Bellville, TX.) singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Frontier scored five runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by the Bobcats was led by Starly Hillario (San Juan, PR.), Tommy Giarola (Torino, ITL.), Braxton Gerek (League City, TX.), and Jacob White, all driving in runs in the inning.
Justin Clark (Johnson City, IL.) earned the victory on the mound for Frontier. He lasted five innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out five and walking one. Frontier totaled 11 hits. Jacob White and Brody Tisdale each collected multiple hits for the Bobcats.

Frontier lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat to Hinds CC on Friday. The game was tied at two with Hinds CC batting in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run for Hinds CC.

Frontier defeated Mississippi Delta Community College 4-3 on Friday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at three with Frontier batting in the top of the eleventh when Jacob White singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
Frontier took an early lead in the second inning when Ben Scartz grounded into a double play, but still managed to knock in one run. Frontier evened things up at three in the top of the seventh inning when an error scored one run for the Bobcats.
Mac Grant (Tampa, FL.) led the Bobcats to victory on the mound. He allowed two hits and zero runs over six and a third innings, striking out four and walking one. Zach Moore (St. Louis, MO.) threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. #23 was on the hill for Mississippi Delta Community College.
