BASEBALL ADDS TWO MORE WINS TO END SEASON

Fairfield, IL – The Frontier Community College baseball took two games from Shawnee CC last Saturday.  The Bobcats won the series 2 games to none.  Game one was an offensive explosion with Bobcats putting up 18 runs in just 7 innings taking the game 18-3.  Game two was much more competitive with the Bobcats coming out on top with an 8-4 victory.  With the wins the Bobcats finish the season with an 18-26-1 record and just missing the Region-24 tournament by a game and a half.  When asked about the season Coach Benton had this to say "Very proud of this group, especially the sophomores.  Going from a 3 win season a year ago to 18 is definitely steps in the right direction, this sophomore class showed a lot of guts and have a lot to be proud of."
