Four RBI Day For Braxton Gerek Leads Frontier CC Spring 2019 Past McKendree U
Braxton Gerek (League City, TX) came the ballpark and meant business on Monday, driving in four on three hits to lead Frontier past McKendree U 17-5 on Monday. Braxton Gerek drove in runs on a double in the fourth, a home run in the sixth, and a single in the seventh.
Frontier earned the victory despite allowing McKendree U to score four runs in the second inning. McKendree U's big inning was driven by home runs by Pratt and Oglesby and a groundout by Reinkemeyer.
McKendree U took an early lead in the second inning. Oglesby homered on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Frontier knotted the game up at five in the top of the fourth inning. Braxton Gerek drove in one when he doubled.
Frontier took the lead for good with two runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Ren Reynolds (Kilgore, TX.) doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Brody Tisdale (Greenwood, IN.) singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
