BASEBALL GOES 3-1 ON THE WEEKEND AGAINST HEARTLAND CC AND MORTON CC

The Bobcats fought in four tough games this weekend, going 3-1. The Bobcats showed both Heartland and Morton their never quit attitude scoring late in each of the four game set. Brice Stuteville had a great pitching performance in game one going six and two-thirds allowing two runs. Game two was a tight fought match, a homerun by Trey Woosley, and Braxton Gerek’s two for three day lead the story for the Bobcats.

The loss after Heartland fueled the Bobcats into the series against Morton as Andrew Shoutlz took the hill in game one throwing six innings, and striking out eleven batters on the day. Trey Woosley continued his hot streak going three for three on the day.  Caleb Evan’s homerun on a 0-1 count rally the offense in game one. The scene was set on the mound game two against Morton, Jestin Jones shut down the Panther offense by going six innings and striking out nine batters. The Bobcats Played a clean game on defense committed no errors.

After going 3-1 on the weekend the Bobcats totaled 21 runs on 29 hits.

 

Frontier Grabs Lead In Eighth Inning For Victory Over Heartland CC.

Frontier snatched the lead late in the game in a 4-2 victory over Heartland on Friday. The game was tied at two with Frontier batting in the top of the eighth when #35 threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Frontier. The Bobcats knotted the game up at two in the top of the seventh inning, when Trey Woosley (Breckinridge, KY.) reached on a dropped third strike.

Brendan Reid (Union, KY.) was credited with the victory for Frontier. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking zero. Brice Stuteville (Rockport, IN.) started the game for the Bobcats. He allowed three hits and two runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out one. Matthew Espinosa (Fort Worth, TX.), Bradley Taylor (Russellville, KY.), Malik Blair (Chicago, IL.), and Trey Woosley each collected one hit to lead Frontier.

Despite Strong Fight, Frontier Can't Top Heartland CC.

Frontier fought back after falling down by four runs in the sixth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 5-4 defeat to Heartland CC on Friday. Frontier scored four runs on a grand slam in the seventh inning.

Ty Ramey (Princeton, KY.) took the loss for Frontier. He lasted three innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out three and walking one. Trayce Abbott (McLoud, OK.) started the game for the Bobcats. He went three innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out in the game against Heartland CC. The Bobcats launched one home run on the day by Trey Woosley. Braxton Gerek (League City, TX.) went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Frontier in hits.

 

Frontier Clinches Lead In Seventh Inning To Defeat Morton CC.

Frontier stole the lead late and defeated Morton CC 9-8 on Saturday. The game was tied at seven with Morton CC batting in the top of the seventh when Brendan Reid's wild pitch allowed two runs to score for Morton CC. Bats blistered as Frontier collected eight hits and Morton CC tallied five in the high-scoring game.

After Morton CC scored one run in the top of the fifth, the Bobcats answered with one of their own. Frontier then answered when Caleb Evans (Lincolnshire, IL.) drew a walk, scoring one run. Frontier scored three runs in the fourth inning. The Bobcats scored its runs on a home run by Caleb Evans.

Brendan Reid took the win for Frontier has he allowed two hits and four runs over one inning, striking out one. Andrew Shoultz (Scurry, TX.) started the game for the Bobcats, He allowed three hits and four runs over six innings, striking out 11. Caleb Evans had a long ball in the fourth inning was good for the only homerun of the day. Frontier racked up eight hits on the day. Trey Woosley and Ren Reynolds (Kilgore, TX.) all managed multiple hits for Frontier. Trey Woosley went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Bobcats in hits.

Frontier Claims Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat Morton CC.

Frontier stole the lead late in the game in a 4-2 victory over Morton CC on Saturday. The Bobcats trailed 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Ren Reynolds homered on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs. Jestin Jones (Fort Meyers, FL.) got the win for Frontier. He went six innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out nine. Caleb Rush (Fortville, IN.) threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Caleb Rush recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Bobcats. Frontier smacked one home run on the day by Ren Reynolds in the fifth inning. Ren Reynolds went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Frontier in hits. The Bobcats defense, didn't commit a single error in the field.
