BASEBALL GOES 1-2 AGAINST OLNEY

The Bobcats went 1-2 on the week against Olney Central. Late inning heroics by the bobcats scoring 8 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning help Frontier pick up a win in game 3. Bobcat baseball will be back in action against Shawnee Tuesday May 8th. The bobcats are now 27-26 (11-17).

Frontier Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Olney CC

Frontier took the lead late and defeated Olney CC 10-9 on Sunday. The game was tied at eight with Frontier batting in the bottom of the sixth when Caleb Evans (Lincolnshire, IL.) doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. Frontier collected ten hits and Olney CC had ten.

Olney CC opened up scoring in the first inning. Hug hit a solo homer. Olney CC scored three runs in the fifth inning. Milks, Young, and Akbar each had RBIs in the frame. Ty Ramey (Princeton, KY.) led the Frontier CC to victory on the pitcher's mound. He allowed two hits and one run over three innings, striking out one. Davis was on the pitcher's mound for Olney CC. He lasted five innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out seven. #22 threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Jestin Jones (Fort Meyers, FL.) started the game for Frontier. He lasted four innings, allowing eight hits and eight runs while striking out one. Jalen Faison (Brooklyn, NY.) went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Frontier CC in hits. Olney CC totaled ten hits in the game. Hug and Beck each had multiple hits for Olney CC.

Frontier Can't Hold Up Against Olney CC

Frontier had trouble keeping up with Olney CC in a 10-2 loss on Sunday. Olney CC scored three runs in the sixth inning. Akbar and Hug each drove in runs during the inning. Flueck led things off on the pitcher's mound for Olney CC. He allowed nine hits and two runs over eight and two-thirds innings, striking out three.

Lane McMaster (Shepard, TX.) toed the rubber for Frontier. He allowed three hits and two runs over four and a third innings. Brice Stuteville (Rockport, IN.), Gamaliel Echevarria (Camuy, PR.), Brendan Reid (Union, KY.), and Ty Ramey each entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings, one and one-third innings, one-third of an inning, and one-third of an inning respectively.

Frontier saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Cole Rasbury (Bellville, TX.) and Jalen Faison all collected multiple hits for Frontier. Early Lead For Olney CC Seals Fate For Frontier

Frontier watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-1 loss to Olney CC on Friday. Olney CC scored on a single by Travis and a single by Melton in the first inning. The Bobcats struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Olney CC, giving up 11 runs.

Olney CC got on the board in the first inning. Olney CC scored one run when Travis singled. Olney CC scored six runs in the eighth inning. Olney CC's big inning was driven by a single by Rucker, by Travis, and a double by Beck.

Drury was on the hill for Olney CC. He lasted eight innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out four and walking zero.

Andrew Shoultz (Scurry, TX.) was on the mound for Frontier CC. He went six and a third innings, allowing five runs on 11 hits, striking out five and walking one. Gamaliel Echevarria and Mac Grant (Tampa, FL.) entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and one-third innings and one-third of an inning respectively.

Frontier CC tallied one home run on the day. Jacob White went deep in the fifth inning. Jacob White (Lewisport, KY.) led Frontier with two hits in three at bats.

Olney CC racked up 13 hits. Melton, Hug, Rowan, and Rucker each had multiple hits for Olney CC. Melton went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Olney CC in hits. Olney CC didn't commit a single error in the field. Maynard had the most chances in the field with six.
