BOBCATS DROP SERIES AGAINST KASKASKIA

The Bobcats drop the series against Kaskaskia this past weekend Jalen Faison swung the bat well for the Bobcats managing a couple of hits Saturday to help lead the Bobcats offense. After the weekend series Frontier falls to 18-24 (5-13). They are back in action this Tuesday at FNB Field against Danville Area Community College starting at 3 P.M.

Frontier Defeated By Kaskaskia

Frontier fired up the offense in the second inning. Bradley Taylor (Russellville, KY.) hit a solo homer. Kaskaskia pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Santiago singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Wallace singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Hoel singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, and Hutchinson singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Andrew Shoultz (Scurry, TX.) led things off on the pitcher's mound for Frontier. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and striking out four. Gamaliel Echevarria (Camuy, PR.) threw three and a third innings out of the bullpen.

Frontier socked one home run on the day. Bradley Taylor had a four bagger in the second inning. Laramie Sayles (Midlothian, TX.), Bradley Taylor, Starly Hilario (San Juan, PR.), and Jalen Faison (Brooklyn, NY.) all had one hit to lead Frontier.

Early Lead For Kaskaskia Seals Fate For Frontier

Frontier watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-4 loss to Kaskaskia on Friday. Kaskaskia scored on a walk by Meinhart in the second inning. The Bobcats struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Kaskaskia, giving up 11 runs. Kaskaskia scored four runs in the seventh inning. Kaskaskia's big inning was driven by a single by Hutchinson, a home run by Santiago, and a fielder's choice by Well.

Lane McMaster (Shepard, TX.) was on the mound for the Bobcats. He allowed three hits and five runs over two innings, striking out one. Brice Stuteville (Rockport, IN.), Mac Grant (Tampa, FL.), and Rafael Nolasco (Vera Cruz, MX.) each contributed in relief for Frontier. Frontier saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Jalen Faison, Bradley Taylor, Jacob White (Lewisport, KY.), and Cole Rasbury (Bellville, TX.)all managed multiple hits for Frontier.

Frontier Fall Short To Kaskaskia, 6-2

Trayce Abbott (McLoud, OK.) took the loss for Frontier. He surrendered two runs on two hits over two and two-thirds innings. Frontier saw the ball well today, racking up six hits in the game. Ren Reynolds (Kilgore, TX.) and Jacob White all managed multiple hits for Frontier. Jacob White and Ren Reynolds each managed two hits to lead Frontier CC Spring 2019. Kaskaskia tallied eight hits on the day. Gomez and Hutchinson each collected multiple hits for Kaskaskia.
