WELCOME TO FRONTIER - Jimmy Brenneman, Assistant Baseball Coach

Frontier Communiyt College Head Baseball Coach Brandon Benton has announced that Jimmy Brenneman is joining his staff as an assistant coach. Brenneman concluded his second year at Clarendon College in Clarendon TX, as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator in 2017.

“I'm really eager to bring Jimmy and his family to Fairfield. Jimmy is an outstanding recruiter who works relentlessly and is passionate about bringing in top quality players that will make our team better on and off the field. He has been a part of a rebuilding process at Clarendon College and we are excited about him doing the same here,” Benton said. “Jimmy brings great regional ties for our recruiting base having played at Lincoln Trail CC."   

Brenneman will serve as the teams pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. Prior to Clarendon Brenneman spent the 2015 season at Globe Tech CC in New York City.  In 2014, Brenneman was a private instructor and helped coordinate baseball camps at Cincinnati Baseball Sports Academy. 

Brenneman played one year of pro ball in 2013 with the Roswell Invaders of the Pecos League aand the Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League. 

Brenneman played his college ball at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina from 2010-12. He was a part of the school's first 40-win season in 2012 (41-19). He finished in the top-20 of NCAA Div. I in each statistical category: Stolen Bases (30), Runs Scored (66), and Hit By Pitch (27) that year. Also, led all of NCAA Div. I in HBP in 2011 (31). Before CU, he played at Lincoln Trail CC in Robinson, Illinois in 2009-10. He was 1st-Team All-Conference selection both years and 1st-Team All-Region (XXIV) in 2010.

Brenneman has a BS in Sports Management from Campbell University.
