Luke Benfield begins his 2nd season as an assistant coach for Frontier. He brings a wealth of passion and knowledge about the game with him. Luke spent the summer of 2022 as an assistant coach for the Fox Sports Sox travel organization. In the fall of 2022 he was the head coach for the Missouri Monarchs 16U team.

As a player, Luke was most recently a student athlete at NCAA Division 2 Southwest Baptist University where he was a catcher and an outfielder during his two years there. During his freshman year, Luke attended Ecclesia College where he played for head coach Matt McCue. As a freshman, Luke was a starting outfielder who hit .320 with 2 HR's, and 10 SB's. As a freshman, Luke helped lead Ecclesia to multiple weeks ranked nationally and a 2021 berth in the NCCAA World Series. He also spent a summer playing in the competitive NYCBL summer baseball league for the Rochester Ridgemen. 

His primary role will be catching, hitting, third base coach, and social media coordinator.  

Luke is finishing his bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing online from Missouri Southern State University.
